Grackle One of my favorite dark ambient albums, the tracks work together to make a larger story and whole piece. The cassette is certainly in heavy rotation for me. Favorite track: Maglor's Gap.

Guillaume P. Trépanier Fantastic album, sweet and bewitching, calm and captivating, slow and fascinating. This artist lets these compositions breathe a lot, he leaves room for the listener to easily lose himself in them. In addition, the interpretation of the tracks is done with a lot of emotion and feeling ... The unique drum playing on "Dagor Bragollach" is a good example. A cassette to listen to with ears wide open. Favorite track: Maglor's Gap.

virulentchasm More than anything, the work of Himring suggests derelict locations, comforted only by one's resolve and the raw force of intrigue. Realms in Exile supplants itself as the quiet, murmuring ripples of some nameless water among the fallen leaves of foregone groves. And as the artwork suggests, a castle lies waiting in the distance, though nearly obfuscated by the the edge of a great crag and a trackless distance.
GarrettStrife thumbnail
GarrettStrife Part of a cannon of well made classicals. Fog Castle, Fog Crag, Crag Forge, and Realms in Exile share DNA. All are reccomended and this is the perfect gateway to get into work that feels like a successor to Wongravens masterwork. Follow that Suppourt the Artist link, there's a lot more here. Favorite track: The Pass of Aglon.

You arrive at a great oak door. You know beyond this door you will meet a dizzying stone staircase that plummets for hundreds of miles into the abyss of an ancient dwarven mine. As you press your ear to the keyhole, you can faintly hear muffled music playing in the forges below...

Realms in Exile comes from the mysterious unnamed figure behind Crag Forge, Fog Castle, and more. Epic dark Tolkien themed ambient cast in dark caves.
