What is it about the Italians that seems to bring so much to the table with melodic stuff?
The Mines of Nargothrond is a song that could feel at home in almost any epic fantasy of the last 100 years. Lord of the rings is the obvious hint here. But you could just as easily apply many of these to an eastern setting. It reminds me of the track to the PS1 game Exhumed AKA Powerslave. Specifically The Halls of Thanduil needs mention for how evocative it is of empires both real and vanished.
Favorite track: Mines of Nargothrond.
